British Columbia Skilled Trade Worker Program

The British Columbia Skilled Trade Worker category is also called as the ‘entry Level and Semi-Skilled’ Workers category and fill occupations at NOC levels C and D which apply to tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, or the food processing industry. It is not part of the Express Entry Program.

In order to apply to the British Columbia Skilled Trade Worker Program, you must:

      • have accepted a full-time, permanent full-time job offer
      • have already worked full-time, in the permanent position for at least 9 consecutive months before submitting your application
      • have the required language skills according to Canadian Language Benchmark levels
      • have the training and education to do the job
      • qualify to do the job offered to you as far as licensing and certification
      • prove that you are able to support you and your family
      • be earning regional wages according to B.C. standard wages the occupation you are filling
      • ensure you are working for a British Columbia qualified employer
